Since 2020 Boss Door Controls has been Scrigno’ s strategic partner in the UK for pocket sliding door systems. But who are Scrigno? The answers might surprise you – Scrigno is a substantial company, perhaps the largest producer of sliding door cassette systems in Europe.
A historic town near Rimini, Italy may not seem like the obvious place for a powerhouse of the European sliding door market, but Sant'Ermete has been home to Scrigno since it was founded by businessman Giuseppe Berardi in 1989. The Scrigno Group now makes more than 450,000 sliding door frames every year for use in Italy and across the globe and the manufacturing facilities, in nearby Savignano sul Rubicone are impressive – more than 330 employees work in the 30,000 sqm facility and in 2019 the company turned over an impressive €87million, with over half of that total accounted for by exports. The company is certainly no small fry - the group also makes 30,000 security doors per year in Italy – with operations in France, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Germany as well as strategic partnerships across the globe like the one Boss enjoys in the UK.
